Tomorrow, February 6, is the deadline for the call for entries of sound art for the exhibition Sound Through Barriers.

There WILL be a grace period, however, please email chris ]aT] sound through barriers ]doT] com, or leave a comment on this blog post, or message me on twitter (user=LiminalListener) as soon as you can to let me know that you intend to submit something.

Jury selections will be announced at the end of February.

Welcome to the news blog for Sound Through Barriers.

This is a recording of three untitled works by sound sculptor Harry Bertoia, sited in a fountain in front of the Aon Center in Chicago, Illinois. Vertical metal rods placed close together are activated by the wind off of Chicago Harbor, Lake Michigan, causing them to ping off one another.
